Do you need a Building Permit?
If you reside within Shepherdstown's corporate limits, before making any changes to your property, you should contact our Zoning Officer, Harvey Heyser (304-876-6858), to determine if a permit is needed for the change. Click here to view the Shepherdstown Planning and Zoning Ordinance.
Do you need a Business License?
If you are a business moving within Shepherdstown's corporate limits, you must obtain a business license from Town Hall. In order to obtain a business license, you must first show proof of your WV State License. Before displaying any type of business signage, you should contact the Zoning Office (304)876-6858 to determine if a permit is required for the signage.
