The Shepherdstown Water Department is accepting applications for the position of “Operator In Training” at the Water Plant. Duties include, but are not limited to, laboratory testing, sampling, maintenance, general cleaning of the water plant, mowing, record-keeping, etc. High School diploma or GED is required. Applicant will be required to attend classes and attain a WV Drinking Water Treatment license as well as other certifications as necessary. Active licensed operators should not apply. Attendance at a technical school, trade school or college will be given preference. Computer skills are also needed. There will be no set schedule for this position.
