Spill update 9/29/15 The Latest ICPRB model shows the chemical will reach Shepherdstown intake sooner than expected :Thursday, October 8, 5:13AM, Duration 229 hours; Peak Concentration 2.0 ppm 72 hours after arrival. The MCL for this chemical is 0.1 ppm. Any weather changes can drastically change the models. We are currently running extra shifts at the water plant to insure the tanks will be 100% full when needed. We will have two plus days of water storage on hand. The water dept. will start taking samples for the chemical spill October 5th and will checking them for 10 consecutive days to insure a prompt shutdown and restart.
