Message from the Shepherdstown Water Department:

The Shepherdstown Water Department is undergoing the annual program of exercising fire hydrants throughout the water system. The purpose of this program is to remove sediment and tuberculation from the water mains. This also allows the Water District to do the necessary maintenance and repairs to ensure that the Fire Hydrants are working properly.

You may experience cloudy water or low water pressure for a short period of time during this flushing program. The program should be completed in roughly one month. Should you have any questions, please call the Shepherdstown Water Department at 304-876-2394.
