The Boil Water Advisory was implemented on Saturday, July 13 due to the Willowdale Subdivision water main break has been lifted and is no longer in effect. The water leak has been repaired. A boil water advisory is in effect until Tuesday, July 16. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming or brushing teeth. Notice will be provided once the boil water advisory has been lifted.

This is a public service announcement from the Shepherdstown Water Department. A water main break has been located in the Willowdale Subdivision on Shepherd Grade Road. Crews are working to repair the break. Customers in Cress Creek, Fern Bank, Willowdale, and along Shepherd Grade Road will experience a loss of water service. The time for the repair is unknown. If you lose water service, a boil water advisory will be in effect once the service is restored. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming or brushing teeth. Updates will be provided as they are received.
